The Dog Ate My Knickers | Dog Mama Life

So, my dog eats my knickers. Disgusting, but true. He also eats socks, tissues, boxers and he used to eat guinea pig poop. But the knicker eating is the real bane of my life. I have to buy new pants every couple of weeks because he eats through them so damn fast. I’m not really 100% sure what it is about them that makes him want to eat them, but it’s bloody annoying, disgusting and EXPENSIVE!

Making Big Decisions | Home on the Coast

Today we did a big thing, today we ordered a full set of new windows for No. 28. It was A HUGE step in the renovation process, and one that was long overdue.

We had been holding out these past three years for a time when we could afford to refurbish the house’s original sash windows, but over the past few weeks we have realised that not only would that time probably never come, but (and I was really loathe to admit this) the sash windows also probably weren’t a practical option for us in the long term.

A Gin of Merit | Shortcross Distillery Tour

Last week the husband and I were invited down to Crossgar for a tour and tasting session at the Shortcross Gin Distillery – Slainte!

The Rademon Estate in County Down is one of the oldest historic estates in Ireland, and since 2014 it has been the home of Shortcross Gin.

Shortcross owners Fiona and David are immensely proud of their gin, and so they should be – Shortcross Gin is not only Northern Ireland’s first craft gin, it has also won the most awards out of all the gins distilled on island of Ireland.
